YOUR TIME IS NOW!

We are all really good in finding excuses. “I will do, if…” And after “if” pretext we are able to deliver inexhaustible storehouse of alibis. Meanwhile, our whole life passing us.

I had only 5 days in Masai Mara National Reserve to take pictures. I won the trip on a contest, I would not go by myself. However, I tried to make it as productive as possible, if I was there. I did not expect too much at a location, where lot of people travel to take pictures from all over the world.

Moreover, we had an unpleasant weather for 1.5 days. It was cold, little foggy, animals were not really active. Yet, at this bothersome situation, my horse expert relative came in my mind. He highlighted that horses are more combative, when notable weather change approaching. Since zebras are equids, I thought my time is now! We had a fantastic guide, who took us to a zebra herd. Two zebras had a serious conflict, last only about 2 minutes. Still, an impressive photo series was taken. The frame attached here received 2nd place at an international photo contest. A moment, which better looks like a ballet for me, than part of a fight can cause serious injuries.

Of course we could stay in the camp with “there is bad weather; animals are not active; we go out, if there is sunshine” complaints…
