RAINBOW EYES

It was an assignment with National Geographic Magazine on Dragonflies.

I was sitting and waiting beside a water filled tree hole for the huge

helicopter damselfly. They use to lay eggs there, but there is no

certain time of the day, when they do it. So I had to wait for hours

every day.

During those never ending hours I recognized something from

the corner of my eye. A fly landed on the same trunk I was. I noticed

some color of the compound eyes, but did not realize the complete

beauty of this common looking species, until I used my flash…
