Name of this beautiful plant is confusing. Flowering rush or grass
rush (Butomus umbellatus) is not in a rush at all.
Lives beside lakes, ponds, slow running streams and rivers. I had fantastic 3 hours in a small river yesterday and this was the first topic I photographed.
Only about 4 miles from my actual residency. No need to travel far away for fantastic experience. Travel less, discover your backyard, reduce your ecological footprint!
