HUNGARIAN REVOLUTION
The Hungarian Revolution of 1848 was actually one of the many
revolutions all over Europe at the same year. Hungarian revolution grew into a war of independence from the Austrian Empire, ruled by the Habsburg dynasty. The anniversary of the Revolution’s outbreak, 15 March, is one of Hungary’s national holidays.
Pictured coat of arms of Hungary is painted with a special, complex technique on this Easter chicken egg. This magnificent artwork was made by an “amateur”, Dr. Emese Tékus. She is a lawyer and works at University of Pécs, Hungary.
There will be an exhibition from her fabulous work along with other folk artists, linked with my photo exhibition starts at March 7th, 14:00, at Civil Közösségek Háza, Pécs, Hungary.
