EVEN THE FASTEST CAN BE CAUGHT
No matter how swift they are, there are still some bird species, who
are able to catch dragonflies mid-air.
They are on some falcons and the so acrobatic bee-eaters’ diet. Like this European Bee-eater, who just caught a huge norfolk hawker (Anaciaeschna isoceles) dragonfly.
Only about 10 miles from my residency…
