NOT A WASP!

Measured data vary on a large scale, but hoverflies definitely among

the fastest flying insects on Earth.

Their color and patterns resemble to hornets or wasps. However, they do not have stings at all. They are usually really tiny and very difficult to photograph. Most of them are just 10-15mm long and will not remain too much at one spot in the air…

Shot about 120 steps away from our front door. No need to travel far away for fantastic experience. Travel less, discover your backyard, reduce your ecological footprint!
